PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
A HAWERA RESOLUTION, HAWERA, this day. A public meting last night to discuss the peace celebration passed the folowing motion; That a message be sent froin the citizens of Hawera to the Premier asking that necessary legislation he passed, or such steps taken' by an Order-in-Council to enable .the banks to close all day for the celebration of peace, and that bead offices of hanks be requested to snpport the resolution.
