TAIHAPE FIRE BRIGADE.

'A meeting of the Fire Brigade was held on Tuesday. Capt. Reid in the chair. The following was the busines dealt with. 1 y An aplication was received from B. Grayling and M. Anderson to active members ,of the brigade, and it was decided to accept same and place the applicants on probation for, a month. '-Jum. ua The -Question ;of a motor for Brigade use was again brought up, and a «mmittee was-.elected to go into the itter and report to, the brigade. Fireman J Corkill, in charge of the llarm system, and fire plugs, reported that bothvare in n -satisfactory ..condition. J, It was -- decided that the. brigade make a presentation to Mr. D. Kirby before he leaves, in appreciation of his valuable asistance given to the brigade during - the length sof ■ - time be has been in Taihape. The following firemen were: bold offfor Town Hall duty for the month of November: Firemen Hartley and COrkill. This concluded the busines with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
