A suit for- $50,000 damages for breach of promise, said to bo the largest sum ever sought in action of this nature filed in California, was filed at San Francisco j{-ecehtjy iby Mrs. Olga Olsen against her former husband Fritz Olsen, San Francisco, president of the Norway Pacific Steamship lines The couple were married in (London in December, 1913. They were divorced in Norway in August 1916, by special permission of the King of Norway, on grounds of incompatability of temperament. Subsequent correspondence between the couple regarding tho welfare of their child, according to the complaint, eventually led to a proposal by Olsen that they re-marry. This alleged promise, tho complaint recited, was not kept. Mrs. Olsen is the daughter of Henry Ladenburg, head of a large banking house in London. Olsen is the son of a wealthy shipowner of Norway.
