MACEDONIAN CAMPAIGN.
ONLY 45 MILES FROM BELGRADE. ENEMY’S HEADLONG FLIGHT. Received 10.10 a.m, LONDON, Oct 31. A French Eastern communique states; Serbian cavalry reached the Danube east of Sirrendrea, and occupied Pczharevatz. The enemy is retreating headlong. We have reached the front from Milanovac, Topola, and Palanka. We are now only 45 miles from Belgrade, the capital of Servia. IN MESOPOTAMIA. STILL PURSUING THE TURKS. Received 10.10 a.m. LONDON, October 31. The Mesopotamia official states: Our cavalry east of the Tigris forded the river, northwards of Kelatshergha, and was joined by the armobred cars.’ The enemy heavily attacked on the 28th October,, and forced back our right flank, but failed to drive us off the Mosul road. Reiforcements arrrivcd, and restored the situation. Meanwhile our forces advanced up the west bank and attacked, and drove the Turks from their positions capturing Kalatshergh. The pursuit was continued on the 29th and we penetrated deeply into the enemy’s position five miles northward of Kalatshergha, and prisonered one thousand, besides taking much material.
