ALEPPO CAPTURED. LONDON, October 27. A Syrian-Palestine official message says: Our advanced cavalry and armoured cars occupied Aleppo, 200 miles north of Damascus on Saturday morning, after overcoming slight opposition ENEMY’S WTfADRAWAL ON A WIDE FRONT. LONDON, October 27. A French communique reports: “During last night the First Array redoubled its efforts on the front between tho 'Oiso •and Serre. The gnemy, shaken by yesterday’s fighting, has given way along the whole line, and had to withdraw northwards, abandoning his positions. We captured Mont d’Origny, Saint Bcnoite, Courjumcll, Chcvresis, and Moneeau, and also numerous fortified points d’appui between these villages. On our right our units crossed tho Peron, and made progress north-east. W r e captured Hill 117, and the sugar factory a mile east of Richecourt. The number of prisoners further increased on tho Serre front. The Tenth Army, supporting the movement of the First Army, 1 also made fresh gains. We crossed the Serre east of Aissis, and also penetrated the German counter-attack in the region of Marquigny Farm was shattered by our fire.
