EVAGITATION OF GHENT IN FULL SWING.
; 4 AMSTERDAM, October 24. The “Telegraaf” announces that the ■evacuation of Ghent is in full swing. The last boats are being towed down the canal to Salzaele. NEW FRENCH OFFENSIVE launched; Received 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Oct 25. The War Office has announced that the French have launched an offensive along the Serre and Bouche rivers. This locality is the apex of a triangle pointing north-east, of which La Fere and Laon are the bases.
