ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. MAN ATTACKS WIFE AND COMMITS SUICIDE. DUNEDIN, Oct 17. The .Superintendent of Police has , received advice from the police at Roxburgh that George Rackley, aged 60, attempted to murder his wife at , Miller’s Flat yesterday, and afterwards committed suicide. Although the Finance Minister has mentioned that Canada is paying 54 per cent, free of income tax, it is understood that he is disinclined to make any change from the terms of the last loan, that is 4-1 per cent, free of income tax.
