Lord Lansdowne, interviewed said that President Wilson’s stipulations were reasonable. President Wilson's points must be accepted as a basis of settlement, not merely a topic of discussion at the conference. o— — GERMANY'S WANING POWER. LONDON, Oct 10. Since August Bth the B'ritish have defeated 80 German divisions. German infantry divisions are now reduced to 183, in addition to eight Austrian. All danger on the Human coast la now removed. The Poles are showing open opposition to the Central Powers, and constitute a grave menace to the reduced German garrisons. Peasant risings are also threatening the, Germans in Ukraine. The Germans’ hold on the Black Sea is en dangered.
