Consider the record of State Control (Government" Operation) of the Liquor Traffic in America. In the United States, South Carolina tried Government dispensaries iand then adopted Prohibition. In Canada, Saskatchewan opened Government Liquor Stores, but shut them up at the next election by a vote of 9 to 1. Prohibition marches on. In Canada, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba,* Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia have all carried Prohibition. In the United States, 28 . States have Statewide Prohibition, and the whole country will have "War Prohibition, on Ist July next. Up, to date no State, has refused to ratify Constitutional National Prohibition. America has found the solution. Why fool around with suggestions of State Ownership when this proposal has been voted down wherever tried? —(Advt.)
