Tennis.

The annual general meeting of the members of the Taihape Tennis Club will bo held in Mr R. Ongley’s office on Tuesday night, .next,, at 8 o’clock when all members . and intending members are,, requested to the present.

The courts are now available for play, and several beginners and present members have made a start with this favourite summer pastime. Intending members are, invited to avail themselves of the .courts, right away, as the practice obtained will stand them in good 'Stead when the, general' play commences.

Prospects for the coming season are very promising. The majority of last year’s members will be playing, and many new members have notified their intention of playing. Members w r hose subscription for last season is outstanding are requested to remit same to the secretary, Mr W. J. Munro, or to Mr R., Ongley, prior to date of general meeting.
