KING’S THEATRE. The most delightful child actress nowadays, Madge Evans, is the heroine of “The Adventures of Carol,” the World Film drama showing to-night at the King’s. She is the daughter of a naval officer who is haunted by spies, and he tells her never to reveal her name. When the little girl gets lost in New York, she sticks staunchly to her father’s words, and consequently encounters some startling adventures. She is taken in hand by an Italian organ grinder and is made to dance and do tricks along with “Garibaldi,” an almost human little monkey. During a tour of the Southern States she makes her escape, and is adopted into a luxurious Southern home. TO-MORROW NIGHT. From more than one point of view “Womanhood, the Glory of a Nation,” the Vitagraph photo-spectacle to be shown at the King’s to-morrow night, is a remarkable achievement. fhe author has succeeded in conveying a powerful lesson on the folly of a country being unprepared to defend

itself and at the same time has made a fascinating love story. The three noblest passions in a woman's life — her love for a man, her love for her child, and her love for her country from the foundation of the amazing photoplay. EVERYBODY’S. THE CALENDAR GIRL. Miss .Tuilcttc Day, one of the prettiest and cleverest girls on the professional stage, and a prime favourite among the playgoers of Gotham, paid 1500 dollars for the stunning beach costume she wears in “The Calendar Girl” her now American Mutual production, showing at the Town Hall to-night. The gowns Miss Day wears in this play are all expensive creations Her ballroom gown alone cost 2000 dollars, and in the,“studio” of Madame Lizette’s fashionable gown shop she wears several costumes that are the last word in beauty and costliness. “The Calendar Girl” is a play that will delight the hearts of womankind. It is a bewildering whirl of finery, but aside from this there is an interesting story in which Miss Day proves so fascinating that she is sure to interest the men as well as the women. That bathing suit would fill any theatre anywhere with male connoisseurs. There is an excellent range of supports.
