RAID ON CHINESE GAMBLING DEN.
AUCKLAND, this day. The police on Sunday afternoon; raided Chinese premises in "Wakefield Street alleged to be used as a gambling house. They arrested forty-one Chinamen, and seized a large quantity of coins used in play, marked pakapoo tickets and a complete plant for running a pakapoo lottery. The arrested men had £36. in their possession, one man having £lO2 and another £56.
