TURKISH POSITION CRITICAL. ALL 'ARTILLERY CAPTURED. LONDON, Sept 25. It is understood that the 265 guns captured represented practically the whole artillery of two Turkish armies. The Turks east of the Jordan are now cut in two sections and both cut off from their base at Damascus. The Turkish centre near Maan, Is threatened by the British advance on Amman, Their position is critical Palestine official. —East of Jordan we are approaching Amman, north of which the Arabs have effected important demolitions of the railway. Other Arabs are pressing the enemy, who is retiring northwards from Maan. TURKISH ARMY SURROUNDED Receive a 8.40 a.m. NEW YORK, September 26 The Fourth, Turkish Army in Palestine is surrounded east of the Jordan, and is in danger of tion.FURTHER CAPTURES IN PALESTINE. TOTAL BRITISH CASUALTIES DO NOT EXCEED 4000. Received 10.10 a.m. NEW YORK, Sept 26. The British in Palestine have occupied Tiberias and Semaks oast of the Jordan. They have also "captured Amman. The total British casualties do not exceed 4000.
