AMERICA BUILDING SHIPS FOR THE FUTURE Received 9.10 a.m. WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 Mr MeAdoo, in a speech, said the great sums expended by the United States in the war cannot be wholly for destructive purposes. "We are building," he said, "a great merchant marine, which, when completed, will be the laTgesftrinosT efficient, tand modern in the world." He urged rich and poor to buy bonds" for the purpose of assuring victory.
