KING'S THEATRE. Gladys Leslie, the "Girl With the Million Dollar Smile," is the star of "It Happened to Adele," the brilliant Pathe play showing to-night at the King's. Nothing quite like this plot has been seen upon the screen for some time. Adcle is the daughter of an actress who has fallen upon bad times. Adcle by a quite extraordinary accident gets an engagement as a chorus girl, and then by the use of clever advertising dodge, she gets right into the public eye. She is loved by two men. an opera composer, and steady capable business man.' The opera composer is a young student from the country who has left a sweetheart behind him, and is, after all not in love with anybody but himself. The working out of the romance is full of surprises. The story is almost a guide to the stage, as it contains genuine peeps behind the scenes, and a truthful and full view of the lives of theatrical workers". The stage scenes in themselves are gems. Gladys Leslie is superb in the chief role but she has splendid support in the shape of dainty Peggy Burke who acts the part of the level headed chorus girl used to the world of men and their ways. Supported by the third episode of "The Neglected Wife," Graphic, etc.
