KING'S THEATRE. 11 Stranded, ”■ a romantic film drama from the Triangle Studios,- is avery charming story, and succeeds in getting off the beaten track. The winsome little heroine is Bessie Love who was never more appealing, while De Wolfe Hopper, as the broken down Shakespearian actor makes a memorable figure. These tw r o are members of a vaudeville troupe which is on the point of bankruptcy. The unscrupulous manager, fascinated by the little trapeze girl, proposes to appropriate the funds of the troupe and run away, taking the girl with him. She refuses, ■and is so disturbed over the proposal that she meets w r ith an accident while doing her act. The troupe departs, leaving her behind. The broken down actor stays behind to look after her, and passes her off as his daughter. Things go on quite smoothly for a while. The girl becomes engaged to a fine young fellow of the township, and the wedding is arranged. Then the rascally manager turns up, and threatens to repeal to the bridegroom’s’ staid parents that the girl used to be on the stage and actually wore tighs. In the ensuing scene the bid actor plays the grandest part of his life. The picture has a very unique appeal. Supported by Gaumont Graphic, Triangle Comedy, and Mackerel Fishing-in Canada.

EVERYBODY’S. Julian Eitinge the world”s greatest feminine impersonator, makes his first appearance in motion pictures in ‘'The Clever Mrs Carfax”— a Paramount comedy-drama, showing at the Town Hall to-night. Let it be said at once that the actor fully comes up to expectations. He is an artist to his finger tips. For years he was the .'ensation of the stage, and it was only after years of persuasive efforts that he consented to appear in motion pictures. Julian Eitinge has been dubbed by American critics as the most beautifully groomed woman on the screen, and the gowns that he wears in “Clever Mrs Carfax” would make any woman envious. In America this picture created quite a profound sensation and was accepted by exhibitors and the public as “the goods.” The supporting pictures include a Burton Holmes’ Travelogue, “A Scotch Reel,” a Paramount comedy “The Cow jumped over the Moon” and the ever welcome American Gazette
