BATTLE IN RUSSIA. ALLIES DEFEAT BOLSHEVIKS. AMSTERDAM, Sept 17. A message from Petrograd dated September 14 says that a battle was | fought on the Archangel front between the Bolsheviks and the French, Birtish and American forces. The Bolsheviks fled in panic. A number of Bolshevik officers deserted to the British. HORRORS IN RUSSIA. TERRORISM INCREASING. COPENHAGEN, Sept 17. Passengers from Petrograd deny that there have been conflagrations in the capital, but state that the reign of terror is increasing in horror. Within the past few days 812 have FeSA executed, and 400 others are under the death sentence. Ten thousand officers have been thrown into prison, and all State Councillors arrested regardless of their political positions. The “Morning Post” Stockholm carrespondent reports that the reign of terror continues in Russia. Business men, scientists and officers are arrested wholeale. The last list of executions include the Grand Duke Alexandrovitch, M. Sterchovaki (who was War Minister in Kerensky’s Cabinet), and M. Sarudin (Minister of Justice). Five thousand representatives of the bourgeoise, including many women, have been arrested, in revenge for Uritski’s murder,, and several have already been shot.
