The Masterton Co-operative Dairy Company has decided tp make an advance of 1/5 per lb of butter fat for the September supply. . The alien property custodian in the United States is organising a corporation which will arrange for the sale of 140 German-owned concerns of a total value of £10.000,000.

At the annual meeting of the Otaihape Freezing yVorks shareholders this morning, the’., retiring directors, H. D. Bennett, A. F. Gibbs, and R. Lnburn were re-elected; Messrs Clark and Menzies, and Mr. C. Masters were re-elected auditors.

Another has been found drifting off the. coast in the vicinity .of Cape Brett. Both mines have been secured and the necessary 'steps taken to destroy them, .
