KING’S THEATRE. The final screening of “Convict 99T’ will take "place to-night. This is a most thrilling drama, the plot being very skilfully worked, and the denouement is most deceptive and cleverly concealed until the last act. Irene Castle is superb in her acting. The Mack Sennett comedy is unquestionably one of the most interesting and humorous he has ever engineered. To-morrdw night there will be shown the screen version of Basin King’s great story “The Lifted Vein,” with Ethel Barrymore in the principal character. The story ran through McClure’s Magazine, and when published in book form was an immediate success. The story is human. It deals with human frail£es and problems, with human weakness and strength, with human arid redemption. On the same programme is the first number of the wonderful film, “The Pendleton Round-Up,’ ’of 2000 feet, showing thousands of genuine cowboys, Indian scouts, rough riders, cowgirls, stake coach drivers doing as a matter of course some of the most daring feats possible to imagine.

EVERYBODY'S. Margarita Fisher, who made a very favourable impression in “Miss Jackie of the Navy,” appears to-night in her latest triumph “Miss Jackie Of the Army.” In this picture “Miss Jackie” is the irrepressible daughter of an American army post, desperately but coyly in love with one of her colonel-father’s aides, a lieutenant. The picture shows both the social and military sides of life at an army posh There are pretty and impressive camp scenes, there is a perfectly gorgeous Red Cross benefit with a kiss auction as a side issue, alien spies, traitorous soldiers and knitting "bees. Patrons who saw “Miss Jackie of the Navy” will no doubt come In clouds or through them to see “Miss Jackie of the Army.” It’s just as funny, just as clean, just as vivacious and spicy and has all the go, action and pep that only Margarita Fisher can imbue into a picture.
