ÜBOATS ON AMERICAN COAST’ NEW YORK, September 8.. News from an Atlantic port statesthat two U-boats, described as fisting craft, carrying sails, were sighted off the coast. An English steamer narrowly escaped capture. A French steamer fought off a TJ» boat after a battle lasting several hours.
