CLOSING- HOTELS IN PORTS. WELLINGTON, this day. War regulations have been gazetted making provision for the closing of hotels in ports of arrival on days when drafts of men return from the front. The regulation goes a little further than this, for it empowers the authorities to close hotels when there comes into ports any ship carrying troops. OBITUARY. WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. Robert Fletcher, M.P., aged 52 years, after a long illness. WOMAN FOUND DEAD. MAN KILLED BY TEAMCAR. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The woman whose body was found on the Summer beach yesterday morning, is identified as Mrs. Ellen Harriet Wilson, a widow with five children. She had boon in a despondent mood lately and has been missing from her homo since Monday morning. A man named Frederick William Faulkner was knoeckd down by a tramcar last night and sustained serious injuries to his head, and died in the hospital early this morning.
