FOUND DEAD IN BUSH

RETURNED SOLDIER’S SAD END. News was received in Raetihi on Monday that a returned soldier, named J. McLennan, had been discovered dead in the bush on his section in the Returned Soldiers ’ Block in the Ruatiti district. From information to hand it appears that Mr K. C. Guthrie, who has an adjoining section, had not seen anything of McLennan for some days, and on Sunday last made a visit to his whare, and finding things in such a state that lead him to suppose that McLennan had not gone to town a search of the country surrounding, with the result that the body of deceased was found in a much decomposed state under a log. —“ County Call. ’ ’
