KING’S THEATRE. “To the Death” is a rich, colourful story of the Southland of historic Corsica, the island to which Napoleon was exiled. The photoplay reproduces its picturesque scenery, and expert photography transfers it to the screen. Against this beautiful background is acted a story ot dramatic fire. Bianca Sylva is the solo support of her sister Rosa. When she goes to Paris to to make the most of her talents foolish Rosa- comes to grief. Return-, ing, Bianca swears over the girl’s dead body to follow her sister’s destroyer “To the Death.” The true culprit is a secret service agent. He casts the blame on another man, the man Bianca loves. But she must keep her vow, and she plunges a dagger in his breast. By a miracle all ends happily in this gripping photoplay. The scenes are divided between Corsica and Paris. Madame Petrova plays the the heroine in “To the Death,” and from past experience with Petrova productions people will have some idea of this, the latest of her productions. There are two comedies and a Weekly Gazette. To-morrow night “Husband and his Wife,” featuring Ethel Clayton, will be shown.
