Why does the r soldier who. thinks praise the Red Cross'/ _ (1) Because when he is helpless the Red Cross cares for him and aids him to regain his health. ; (2) Because he knows that stretcher bearers are provided to carry him 1 to and nobly they do it. (3) Because' motor ambulances pfbu vided by the Red Cross swiftly carry him to where sympathy and surgical skill await him. (4) Because hospital tents, marquees, and other buildings, as well as all the necessary furniture, implements, and medicine are provided liberally for the wounded and the sick by the Red Cross. (5) Because hospital ships costing enormous sums are ready at moment’s notice to carry him to “Blighty.” • (6) Because when safely landed he is swiftly carried to up to date hospitals, splendidly' furnished and equipped, and where the best surgical skill awaits him. (7) Because convalescent homes and all the attention necessary are provided to help him on hisGegs again. (8) Above all, because charming nurses full of loving sympathy, guarcr, watch, comfort, apd attend him along every painful stage of his journey. Who then, dares to say the Red Cross does nothing? What other organisation even attempts the herculean task undertaken by this modern development of the genius of Florence Nightingale All men, Attention! Hats off to the Red Cross.
