A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of Members of the Taihape and District Patriotic Society will be ffield in the Town Hall Supper-Room on THURSDAY, August 29th, at 8 p.m. to consider, and if thought fit, to adopt the following alterations to the rules, viz; By adding to. the objects. To raise and expend funds for general war or relief purposes, or for objects connected with, incidental to, or arising out of the present war, and for general patriotic purposes, in such manner as the Society may from time to time determine, provided that all monies raised for a specific purpose shall be expended only for that purpose. By deleting Clause 3 and substituting the following: The members of the Society shall consist of all persons being British subjects, who, during each financial year of the Society shall contribute not less than five shillings in one sum, for the unconditional use of the Society. Every person so contributing shall be entitled to' enrolment as' a member and shall on application to the Secretary receive a membership ticket, on production of -which such person shall be entitled to attend and vote at any General Meeting of the Society as a member thereof.
