LAND FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS.
To the Editor. Sir,—l have been waiting for someone to answer your leader in the Tai hape Times re local land for our loco.' returned soldiers. I think it is time Taihape woke up and took some interest in our boys who are returning. There has been nothing done so J ar —in fact, we are quitely sitting down r*"l letting the moneyed man—"be land grabber—buy rp all' the available land round this district. Farms sold by the men who axe going into camp have been deposed at a sacrifice to fulfil their duty to the Empire, some of the buyers enemy sub jfcts. Our worthy Premier told a deputation some little time ago that the law does not allow this. Then, where is the law, does it not come so far as Taihape? Surely there are some men with grit enough to take this subject up and see that something is done for the brave lads who have fought ana bled for us.—l am, THE MOTHER OF TWO I SOLDIERS
