STILL ADVANCING. CAIRO, August 15. Mr. Massey, writing on Monday night, says the enemy lines astride the Jerusalem-Nablus road was raided on several miles of front by London, Irish, and Indian troops with most successful results. We captured 250 prisoners, and from 150 to 200 Turks were killed or wounded. The main raid was on the west road against a line of entrenched hills, and involved a most difficult approach, .owing to steep rocky sides. Two columns, about three miles apart, moved against the hills on either flank of the entrenchments. When the artillery barrage lifted, Indian troops of each column rushed the flanking hills, and then the Irishmen, moving from the ends of the line towards the centre, got astride the trenches and so surprised the enemy that many were taken prisoners. The enemy were actually firing at right angles to the direction of our advance. They lost numerous dead. While this main attack was progressing three ' subsidiary raids were carried out east of Nablus road.
