KING’S THEATRE. The star picture shown at the King’s last night is without doubt one of the finest secret service productions ever shown in Taihape, It illustrates what is now taking place in the tonnage and shipbuilding yards in America. The acting of Anita Stewart is all that could be aesircu, and the programme will be shown again to-night. " THE MORMON MAID. To-mororw night the most sensa•tional picture of the year will be shown. ' The followers of Brigham Young have made frantic endeavours to have “The Morthon Maid” suppresed, and have spent thousands of pounds to that end. The picture is indeed a graphic reproduction of the teachings of this peculiar sect, in which the plurality of wives is one of its predominating principles. Every scene depicted in the picture is absolutely true to life, and the costumes worn by the Mormons* are reproduced with absolute fidelity. Mae Murray is the heroine, and the supporting cast is a strong one. The tremendous sums lavished on the production of the drama are good guarantees that the picture is a long way out of the ordinary apart from the unique subject matter. “The Mormon Miad” will be shown at the matinee in order to give country patrons a chance of seeing this splendid picture.
