THE DUNLOP “RAILROAD” TYRE
1 Some remarkable instances of the great wearing qualities of the latest Dunlop “Kailroad’ 7 motor tyre are being reported by many users of this Australian-made cover. One in particular had to be seen to be credited. A returned soldier was ordered by his • doctor to keep on the move in the open air. He bought an Indian motorcycle side-car outfit, with a view to following the doctor's advice, and decided on a four months 7 motor trip along the Australian Coast, from. Melbourne up to the Queensland border and back. He returned to Melbourne last week, after a trip extending over some 4,000 miles, travelling over roads and tracks that were almost impa.ssiable for mud and slush —following on. the wet weather encountered along the coast. During the trip a pump was never used on the driving wheel, and the cover showed not a mark, and if washed and cleaned up could almost have been sold as a new cover. The owner could hardly credit that such a thing was possible —even on good cityroads—but over thousands of some of the worst our interstate highways, the absence of wear was indeed remarkable, ;and without a doubt this Australian product is one of the greatest wear defiers yet section our roads.
