THE “SANDBO” STARTER FOR FORD CARS
One of the latest, and possibly one of the most convenient, inventions in connection with motor cars is the “Sandbo” Starter for Ford Cars. This is a contrivance attached to the starting crank, and is an odd-shaped wheel connected by a cable to a lever near the steering wheel. One sharp pull on the lever turns the crank a complete revolution, over two compressions and past two ignition points. This result is achieved by the eccentricity in the shope of the wheel. The advantage of a two compressiion startel ov’er the single compression sort is very obvious. The wheel on the crank is nickelled, and does not detract from the appearance of the car. The “Sandbo” Starter is not in the experimental stage, but has affixed t® 47,000 Ford cars last season. The owner-driver can instal it on his car in an hour; being standardised there is no difficulty. Several of these starters are already in use in this district, and from a demonstration witnessed we can endorse all that is claimed for them. The price (£6 10s) is extremely reasonable. 'Mr V. Nicholls, of Taihape, is the sole agent for this district, and will be pleased to explain and demonstrate the contrivance.
