At the suggestion of the ActingPrime Minister of New Zealand, and in conformity with an arrangement applying to the whole of the British Empire, I hereby convene a meeting of the Taihape and District -resident? 1 for 12.30 p.m. on the above date, at the Band Rotunda, if weather unfavourable, at the Town Hall, to pass the following resolution: “That, on this the fourth anniversary of the declaration of a righteous war, this meeting of the citizens of Taihape records its inflexible determination to contiue to a victorious end the struggle in maintenance of those ideals of Liberty and Justice which i are the common and sacred cause or the Allies.” The Business Houses of the Borough of Taihape are hereby invited to close between the hours;of 12.30 and 1.30 p.m. on the above date, in order that employers and employees may be present at the meeting.
