CZECH PROGRESS. VEADIVOSTOCK, July 29. Czecho-Slovaks have occupied the ; Schmakovsk, two hundred versts north of Nikolaievsk. and seized considerable military stores. UKRAINIAN UNREST. NEW RISING LIKELY. AMSTERDAM, July 29. The Ukraine Government has arrested the ex-Minister of War, and Commerce and several others on charges of fomenting resolution to overthrow the Government. There are indications of a fresh peasant rising. The peasants are well organised, having ample arms. They seized Taraschtcha, Lepovets, and other districts. The landowners, who returned on the strength of the German guarantee of safety were compelled to leave, and agriculture is at a standstill. CZECH-SLOVAKS' PROGRESS. REACH BLACK SEA ANB CAPTURE TWO WARSHIPS Received 9.35 a.m. NEW YORK, July 30. The Czecho-Slovaks have reached the Black Sea, capturing two Russian warships. IN SIBERIA. BRITISH GOVERNMENT’S ATTI- - LONDON, July 30. The Daily Mail’s Vladivostock correspondent states: Replying to the new Government, the British Government promptly defined its Russian policy. It does not intend the slightest territorial encroachment ,and almr only at internal restoration and the expulsion of the enemy.
