The Aisne battle is continuing fiercely and violently. The Allies have captured 100 guns. The French are again advancing, and the German line's are imperilled. A GREATER DRIVE TO COME. Received 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, July 19. General March announces that the Americans on the Aisne do not exceed 160,000. The Allies planned a greater drive later in the war. SIGNAL FRENCH SUCCESS. SOISSONS RECAPTURED, -hwj 30,000 GERMAN PRISONERS TAKEN. Received 10.15 a.m. PARIS, July 19. The French have captured 15,000 Germans. VANCOUVER, July 19. Violent fighting is going on between Villers, Helong, Noroy. sur-Ourcq. Troops to the sotfth of the Ourcq have passed the general line of Maritzy, St. Genevieve, Hautesesn, Hautevesnes," and Belleau. Ca cr twenty villages have been recap, tuivd and several thousands prisoners and important booty taken. There is nothing important elsewhere. An American communique reports: American troops, co-operating with the French between the Aisne and the Matne, penetrated the enemy lines to a depth of several miles, capturing many prisoners and guns.
GEEMAN REPORT. SLIGHT FRENCH SUCCESS ADMITTED. Received 11.45 a.m. LONDON, July 19. Wireless German official: —The enemy renewed his attacks with great violence east of Villers Brctonneux. A great united enemy counter attack against our whole front south of the Marno broke down with heaviest losses In a counter-attack we threw out the enemy from three small places southwest of Moreuil, where he temporarily penetrated. We stormed a ridge south of Pourcy, capturing the defenders. A 'German evening official message states: —Between the Aisne and the Marne the French attacked with strong forces .and tanks, capturing some ground. Our reserves participated in the battle.
