The loss of the Wimmera has led seamen to endorse Mr. Havelock Wilson’s views. An official of the Seamen’s Union said: Thdre will not be a foreigner aboard a British vessel, even after peace is declared, if we can prevent it. v A STRIKING COINCIDENCE. HOBART, July 11. Catpain Kell, of the Wimmera, wrote to a Hobart merchant some weeks ago. “There seems to be a goodly supply of mines around this coast. I haven’t, lost any sleep through them. Maybe I shall get an early rise one of these mornings.”
