KDTG’S THEATRE. Gail Kane, who left the World Film Company to join the Mutual, has been provided with a powerful drama for her first starring vehicle, ‘Whose Wife?” is a story of extraordinary strength, and has a plot that is boldly original. The heroine, deserted by the elderly roue w'hom she had been persuaded to marry, and hearing that he is drowned, marries again The husband returns, and manages fo inveigle her to his rooms. The intensity of the emotional scenes is relieved by one very witty scene, in which the dlstracted young lawyer endeavours to engage a typist. He gives them a test which they fail to pass, owing to at least one instance to the liberal use of chewing-gum. The supporting pictures include latest Gazette, comedy,, scenic, etc.^ EVERYBODY’S. “The Book Agent”—a five reel Fox comedy^—showing at the Town Hall to-night, is a most acceptable picture, bubbling over with life and vivacity, and is replete with many amusing situations. The film stars that popular actor, George Walsh, who has plenty of scope for showing his prowess as an athlete in jumping gates and fences, vaulting over walls,, leaping from upper storey windows and further of proving his dexterity in the use of his fists. The purveying of his printed knowledge lands him in adventures, sentimental as *well as menacing. In ■one of his escapades he meets a college girl, Molly Lester, whom He subsequently meets again under curious circumstances. There are other incidents which go to make a very entertaining story. The supporting films are good.
