AIRMAN'S SIX VICTORIES IN A DAY.
News has been received at his home at Banstead, Surrey, that ViceCommander and Captain John L. Trollope, M.C., Royal Air Force, the young airman who created a world's record by bringing down six enemy machines in one day, is a prisoner and wounded. His family had previously been informed that he was missing. Captain Trollope was awarded a bar to his Military Cross, previousry awarded for general good work between January last and the day he was reported missing. His time-table when he broke the world's reco r d was: Morning.—Shot to pieces a twoseater; brought down in flames a twoscaler; brought down in a spin and crashed a single-seater. Afternoon. —Exploded in mid-air a two-seater; crashed a two-seater very low doAvn: crashed another two-seat-er, also at a low altitude.
