THE CHURCH ARMY.

LETTER OP APPRECIATION. FROM A SOLDIER. Mr Nicholls, of Waverley, received the following interesting letter from his son: —“Somewhere in Franco,” . . . . “B.S. gave me some late Patea papers the other day, They were very good, but there was one thing, I did not like. It was about Patriotic League refusing a request by The Church Army for assstance. Now, Dad, The Church Army is doing excellent work —I am now near where Fritz is shelling heavily night and day. The Church Army has a large hut here, on which there is a notice—•'Open to all troops of His Majesty’s Forces, ’ They supply as much writing paper and envelopes as you want; nearly every newspaper that is obtainable- is there for you; also games of every description. And last, but not least, there is plenty of hot tea and biscuits for any fellow who needs it. So you see, Dad, they deserve all the help you can give—and .more.”
