GERMAN BLACK SEA FLEET

NOW UNDER GERMAN CONTROL,

Received 10.15 a.m

AMSTERDAM, June 30.

A Berlin semi-official message describes the events leading to the seizure of the Black Sea Fleet. It alleges g. contravention of the peace treaty was committed by the continued activity of the principal units who went to Novo Cherkassk after the German occupation of Sebastopol. Acute differences of opinion aboard the ships led to the Dreadnought Svobodnaja Rossa being torpedoed by the destroyer Tertsch, whilst several destroyers were forced to run ashore.' However, the Deadnought Volia and several modern destroyers returned to Sebastopol on June 19, where the entire Black Sea Fleet is still fit for war purposes, and. is now under German-'con-trol.
