TWO STEAMERS TORPEODED. SIXTY MISSING FROM ONE. NEW YORK, June 27. The "Times" learns that two steamers, the Pomeranian and the Medora have been torpedoed in European waters. Sixty are missing from the Pomeranian. ' WASHINGTON, June 27 The New York' Times says that the Pomeranian was sunk in shallow water, and that only one engineer was saved when the MeTiora sank. The captain of the U-boat took the captain and the wireless operator aboard the submarine. The crew state that German torpedoes explode with less force than those used earlier owing to-the lack of explosives.
