CHARACTER ANALYSIS.

America is the land of new and unconventional methods In business ana everything else. The latest is a new ‘American science called: “Character analysis,” especially as applied to ■business, i Great industrial corporations in the United States, such as the International Harvester Company an« the Ford Motor Company and many other big concerns, are now employing trained character analysts at large salaries to classify all applicants for employment by observing their physical characteristics from which their mental and moral qualities can be deduced with a remarkable degree of correctness. Character analysis has now reached the level of a science. The many unscientific Seductions cf the physiognomists and phrenologists have been dropped and the new method gives an average of only 5 per cent, of errors. Industrial concerns adopting this system of character analysis have reduced dismissals to something like 2 per cent, per annum, and the average efficiency of their employees has enormously increased owing to the possession of data on which each man is fitted into the job that suits him best. Another valuable use of this new method of character analysis is that of choosing suitable education and careers for children.
