OBITUARY.
Mrs. Arthur Litchfield, of Raukura, died very suddenly at her home yesterday afternoon, just as we were going to press. The deceased was a daughter of Mr Younger, a civil engineer, whose work in the Nelson district will act as a monument to his professional long into the future. In the'later years of her life she suffered severely from heart trouble, her death was the result of a broken blood-vessel on the brain. The late Mrs Litchfield was a good musician and f, brilliant performer on the piano; in her younger days was much sought as an entertainer, f both as a player and raconteur. Besides her husband, a large family is left; two sons» ; -are. fighting in France, \and two younger ones are at Palmerston North. : At the time of death Mrs. Litchfield waj?|" 62' years of age. She ,had only 'iived' m 'tSis district about two years, but in that time she had made very many friends, who will deeply regret her demise. The: remains are being taken to Palmerston, whore the funeral takes place to-morrow. Mr. Litchfield will, deepest sympathy of a very large circle of friends in his great loss.
