SOCIAL AND DANCE.
The social and dance held last night in the Three Stars under the auspices of the Women's Working Club must be vcted an unqualified success, about 50 couples taking part in the dancing, and a goodly number of spectators were also present. The hall was nicely decorated with greens and draperr, which had a very charming effect. A portion of the hall was set apart for card players, Avhich were well patronised. During the evening Mr. Tone Smith contributed a very enjovable solo. Miss Linda Herbert gave a fancy dance, a repetition being demanded. Misses M. Neagle and B. Wrightson pupils of Miss Blomfield) delighted the audience with a pretty dance number, and it had to be repeated. The social was carried on till a late hour, and all present voted it one of the most delightful and enjoyable functions held in Taihape. The arrangements were most complete, the culinary efforts of the ladies being done full justice to. That the evening was so successful must be. very gratifying to the capable organiser, Mrs. Neagle.
