NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW. Competitive classes are well filled. Space has all been allotted and preparations are now well forward for Sixteenth Winter Show, which opens on Tuesday next at Palmerston North. Conferences and annual meetings cf Breed Societies will be legion during Show time, as, in addition to the big conference of the National Dairy Association, there are some eight or ten cattle, sheep, pig and poultry breeding societies foregathering in Palmerston North next week. It will be at once seen why the National Dairy Show has become such an important fixture in the Farming and Dairying Calendar. There are several new features this year, including the British Trade Exhibition, and a very fine display of big game trophies from Canada, kindly lent by Mr, Jas. Dunning, of Remuera, ■who is judging the deer head class. The Wanganui and Te Aute College football teams meet on Wednesday next, when a willing go can be looked for, both lots of boys being “in the pink.” A very pleasurable and instructive time is anticipated next week.
