KING'S THEATRE. '' Satan Sanderson,'' Hallie Erminic Rives' well known novel was one of the biggest successes last year in America, being the "best seller" of its day. The splendid vigorous story of the unfolding of. a man's true character was finely told and the powerful contrast of Hugh Stires and Sanderson made a deep impression. At college Sanderson had earned the title of "Satan" by his devilry and love of mischief which often went too far, but a tragedy pulling him up he became a clergyman. His reputation however followed him and his nickname "Satan" stuck. The idea of two men being exactly alike—doubles—has often been worked before, but it must be conceded never with such force and artistry as in this story. The story is the strong point of this picture —it is interesting to a degree — never flags'—never loses touch —there are many strong dramatic moments and a thrilling climax.
