Mrs. Wardell' was appointed caretaker. The Visiting. The suggestion met with the approval of the Committee and the secretary was instructed to make inquiries about procuring a stock of sawdust.: The- matter of erecting a ience round the grass plots in order to protect them was left for Mr. Swindells to make a report as to cost at he next meeting. . . - > It was decided to erect V shaped fences on each of the two small gates to prevent. cattle straying into the school grounds. A circular wasireceived asking that the Ten Commandments should be printed on cards and placed in a prominent place in each class-room; also that the commandments should be read each day without comment. It was felt- that this matter lay outside the province of the Committee, and the matter was referred to the Education Board. .It was decided to remind Mr. F. Pirani of a promise made some time ago that if a certain sum was raised for the Technical School he wou-- provide a school bell. Messrs.
