ITALIAN FRONT.
SUBSTANTIAL GAINS REPORTED. LONDON, May 23. An Italian official message states: We penetrated the enemy's successive defences at Caposilc to a depth of 750 metres and maintained our positions despite violent re-actionj, inflicting considerable losses. We took MO prisoners and much, booty. The Italian navy co-operated. Our loss was slight.
