A MSTERIOUS SICKNESS, RACtINCt IN SPAIN. Received 10.40 a.m. > MADRID, May 28, A mysterous epidemic is spreading throughout the country alarmingly. Forty per cent, of the population are stricken. Railways, factories, newspapers, schools, and theatres arc seriously disorganised owing to the depletion of staffs, and very many are closed. The military manoeuvres are suspended. Some of the symptoms resemble influenza, but there are many cases of sudden fits. The King and several ministers are ill. A few deaths are reported.
