AMUSEMENTS

EVERYBODY'S. There will be two star dramas at Everybody's tbis evening. The first is a Paramount picture entitled "Big Timber," in which Kathlyn Williams and Wallace Reid are seen. It was necessary for the entire company to start out by train. After a portion of their journey was Over, they embarked in motor cars till they came to some lakes, where motor boats were ready for them. Then another long trip by train, and half a mile jaunt on horseback brought them within climbing distance of the timber districts, where the scenes were to be taken. As a result of this multifarious form of transportation, the production naa the most beautiful and picturesque settings ever staged in California. The other star is a five reel Bluebird photoplay "Southern Justice," which is said to be rich in character drawing and reflects truthfully the life of a small town in Southern North America. It possesses a charm quite its own, which is admirably brought out by Miss Myrtle Gonzales. There will also be a Gazette and comedy. THREE STARS. A story of matrimonial complications is unfolded in "The Iron Ring," the startling World Film drama. The cast is particularly strong, including Gerda Holmes, Edward Langford, Arthur Ashley, and two new World ladies, Alexandria Varewe and Gladys Thompson. The drama opens with a young married couple who are wrapped up in each other. The husband, however, gets his opportunity in life, and gains a partnership in a large business. Fired with ambition he works morning and night, and consequently leaves his wife to her own resources a good deal. Next door is a giddy woman who lives for men's flattery and adoration, and soon there is bitter trouble. The story is increased in interest by the love affair of a society girl who becomes infatuated with the married surgeon who attends her after an accident. The motor accident, by the way, is most realistic. The thirteenth episode of "The Iron Claw".will also be shown. ,". "''"f/lONd'S THEATRE.

■ One bf. the great screen achievements of the year is found in "God's Man,'' 'the .Frohman super-feature. It is/a picturisation of G. B. Howard's powerful; novel attacking the evils of modern life, and the uniquely strong cast is headed by H. B. Warner and 20 stars. The latter gives a perfect portrayal of the storm-tossed central character' who finds that his very effort to do right leads him further into danger/ After a succession of evil happenings he sinks into the under, world, and there, tortured and in despair, he decided to serve Mammon. He then becomes entangled in the opium traffic, which is being run by some apparently respectable citizens of New York. The interest of the plot is tensely gripping, and the love story is full- of deep emotional scenes. The big cast is very even, and the production is marked by the very highest standard of photography and setting.
