HOCKEY.

That the interest in hockey is reviving in Taihape is evident from the fact that another ladies' hockey club is being formed, or, rather, we should say the Old Girls' Hockey Club is being revived. 'A meeting is to be held at the Fire Brigade Hall on Monday night at 8 o'clock with this object, and all members of the old club and intending members are invited to be present. Already some twenty ladies have signified their willingness join. The formation of another club, will be welcomed by all lovers of ouf. door sports, and will render the competition for the very handsome cup> presented by Mr. F. J. Hintz more in* teresting than it would otherwise have been. The "Old Girls" should be able to put a first-class team jK the field, judging by past contests between the two local clubs will be watched with interest.
