AMUSEMENTS

KING’S THEATRE. The final showing of that fine picture, “The Conquest of Canaan” will be shown. To-morrow night the main attraction will be a startling picture play entitled “God’s Man,” starring H. B. Warner, supported by twenty star artists. This picture deals in'bold relief with the forces of - good' and evil, and is a lightning flash 1 revalation of what goes on where five million souls are crowded together. The moral madness of a great city engaged in the feverish pursuit of happiness Is mercilessly treated. The private life of those who traffic in vice and remain respectable hypocrites is disclosed. The evil effect of a garisn city life is attacked with fierce power. EVERYBODY’S. There will be two star dramas at Everybody’s to-morrow night. The first is a Paramount picture entitled “Big. Timber,” in which Kathlyn Williams and Wallace Reid are seen, it was necessary for the entire company to start out by train. After a portion of their journey was over, they embarked in motor cars till they came to some lakes, where motor boats were ready for them. Then another long trip by train, and half a mile jaunt on horseback brought them within climbing distance of the timber districts, where the scenes were to be taken. As a result of this multifarious form of transportation, the production has the most beautiful and picturesque settings ever staged in California. The other star is a five reel Bluebird photoplay “Southern Justice,” which is said to be rich in character drawing and reflects truthfully the life of a small town in Southern North America. It possesses a charm quite its own, which is admirably brought out by Miss Myrtle Gonzales. There will also be a Gazette and comedy.
